Welcome to My Site...
Mike Sheehan, hailing from Los Angeles, California, has always been fueled by a deep passion for capturing the world around him. With a sketchbook or paintbox in hand, he finds that every moment holds the promise of a new adventure. His dedication to working from life has profoundly enriched his career in design and illustration.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena,
California. He has built a career as a designer/illustrator and art director working with companies like Walt Disney Imagineering, Toy Design Director for The Disney Stores as well as all sorts of companies creating toys and
consumer products. The focus is the same through varied media including a five year feature for “Off-Ramp” on KPCC, the NPR affiliate in Los Angeles. Through it all, mileage is the cornerstone-whether in a sketchbook or in life.

About
A quick run down
Mike Sheehan received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He has had a career designing and illustrating for the theme park, toy, and consumer products industries. In 2003 he was artist in residence at Fullerton College in California. One of his pieces was added to their permanent collection.
Throughout his career he has been a studio and plein air oil painter. He's currently working on a new series of paintings and drawings.
Recently, his sketches of various subject matters around Los Angeles have been featured on KPCC’s Off-Ramp with John Rabe.
His home and studio is in Lake Arrowhead, California.
